Presentations and Speaking
Presentations are given by Derek Matthews, an entertaining educator, ornithologist, North American Banding Council (NABC) Trainer and avian researcher.
Derek is an ex-Brit from North London, England (but don’t hold that against him!) living and working in Vancouver, BC. He is a charismatic, informative speaker who addresses groups across the country. His presentations are tailored for groups of all sizes – from school groups and seniors groups looking to learn more about birds and nature to serious birders and banders looking to take their knowledge to the next level and beyond.
Always lively and interesting, they are guaranteed to provoke interest and lively question-and-answer sessions. He will leave audiences spellbound with his energy and enthusiasm for birds and the environment!
